Rolf Potts has reported from over fifty countries for dozens of major publications, including Slate.com, National Geographic Traveler, the New York Times Magazine, Outside, Salon.com, and National Public Radio. Rolf is perhaps best known for promoting the ethic of independent travel, and his book on the subject, Vagabonding (Random House, 2003), has been through eight printings and translated into several foreign languages.
