Jessuclal Manmohandas of Diu Town is the last craftsman left in Diu who still works in real tortoiseshell. Using the same ancient techniques that resulted from a colonial mix of Portuguese, Indian and Mozambican art 400 years ago, Jessuclal's craft has been handed down through his family for nine generations.
