Laos Limestone Gallery
In November of 2000, Rolf and two photographers from Conde Nast Traveler magazine accompanied an expedition team into the isolated limestone region of central Laos. The expedition was not scientific, nor was it philanthropic — rather, it was a trek to open up a previously unexplored area to tourism. You'll have to wait until the spring of 2001 to read the full story in Conde Nast Traveler — but here is a small photographic sampling of the trek from Rolf's amateur lens.
